Take a look at the latest promotion of Lana Del Rey‘s latest album ‘Ultraviolence‘, with the music video for her next single “Shades of Cool“. The video is what we would expect from Lana, it’s retro realness mixed with an over emotional struggle captured by her longing looks and almost desperate smiles. It works perfectly! I’m a LDR fan and this fits just the way I would want for the melodramatic track. Now, the video for “Shades of Cool”, takes you on a trip down memory lane or would appear to be where Lana is having a love affair with an older man. I think this is touching on something that has been rumored before and she confirmed a few weeks back in her interview with Fader.com. Del Rey said:
“I had a seven-year relationship with the head of this label, and he was a huge inspiration to me. I’ll tell you later when more people know. He never signed me, but he was like my muse, the love of my life.”
