Natalie Maines – On her own and owning it.

So we came across a track today that is the live studio recording of Natalie Maines singing “Lover You Should’ve Come Over” from The Howard Stern Show on 5/7/2013.

If you don’t know who Natalie Maines is, well then you have been living life with your eyes and ears closed. Natalie is 1/3 & lead vocalist of the former female country band The Dixie Chicks

We know that this may not fit into the category nor the typical type of Pop music we normally write about, but after listening to this recording, we couldn’t get it out of our head.

Natalie has embarked on her own journey in music, as a solo artist, and seems like this is gonna be a great journey for us to watch & listen too. We had the privilege of attending a private concert at The Troubadour in Los Angeles by Natalie a few months ago and now that she’s making her rounds with the press and media, we had to drop a piece on this lovely lady.

Natalie’s new album as a solo artist, Mother, is co-produced by music master Ben Harper… and you can totally tell the infusion of the eclectic styles into the tracks of this album.

Take a listen below, let us know what you think and be sure to grab the new album Mother off iTunes here.
