Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Intro SNL
Last night (March 2) our favorite duo of the moment, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, took to the world famous SNL stage!
First of all, if you haven’t listened to their entire album, The Heist, you are missing out on some really lyrically powerful tracks.
Secondly, the boys are hot, from the west coast, and doing this all without the big ol’ LABEL. Yep they’re independent artists.
The group is comprised of front man Ben Haggerty “Macklemore” and his producer Ryan Lewis. The boys have entered the scene and seemed to have stayed true to their message(s). You can decide if that’s true or not, some people feel they have already sold out, which Macklemore addresses on their site.
Back to the topic of last nights performances, the duo performed their chart topping single “Thrift Shop” as well as another one of our personal favorites, “Can’t Hold Us.” Watch the boys rock the stage below!
