Our day has just been made! Lorde‘s upcoming debut album Pure Heroine album stream! She decided to let fans stream the whole thing a week early via VH1 and we are so glad she did!
Lorde is definitely a find that we are happy to see rocket to the top of the charts. The Kiwi first came across our ears a few months ago, we wrote about her here. Her single “Royals” took the girl to the top of the charts and now is holding fast as #1 on iTunes USA Singles. That’s kinda impressive with competition of Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. [Photo of that chart topping below.]
Lorde recently had an interview with NYTimes and this is what she said regarding what we are to expect from this album;
Lyrically, there’s a lot of your typical teen issues. I’m definitely an observer in social situations, and I feel weird social anxiety and loneliness, so there’s a bit of that stuff. But because I started writing this record around the time all of this stuff was happening with attention, a bit of that leaked into the music as well. I couldn’t not talk about it taking over my life. It’s a pretty solid introduction into who I am and what my world is like.
