Lady Gaga‘s new single “Applause” is available for download on iTunes (SmartUrl.It/Applause) now!
Along with this release… she’s calling out bloggers and critics. Yes she did go there. I mean, if you listen to the new track, the first verse clearly calls out the fans to decide the fate of her music… not the critics. We actually kind of agree!
‘Applause’ Lyrics
I stand here waiting for you to bang the gong/
To crash the critic saying, “is it right or is it wrong?”/
If only fame had an IV, baby could I bear/
Being away from you, I found the vein, put it in here/
We came across this review over at Spin.com by Marc Hogan, “Lady Gaga’s Forgettable ‘Applause’: The Sound of One Pop Star Clapping for Herself”… It reminds us why older, obviously not current, and unable to relate critics…
SHOULD NOT BE THE ONES TRYING TO RELATE OR JUDGE A YOUNG POP STAR AND THEIR MESSAGE.
Looking at his other reviews, it’s clear; he hates Gaga and seems to hate any mainstream Pop music. I guess that is to be expected from older and perhaps awkward blogger, but why he gets to be the one writing the reviews on Gaga’s new music, we don’t get it?! Especially for a site and brand that is undergoing so much change, for the better might we add, wouldn’t they avoid having the dated and extremely biased from writing reviews of the most current and relevant music?! I guess it’s to get readers and nothing gets views like pissing off the little monsters.
So all you little monsters head over to Spin.com and let Marc (or the editors) know how you feel about his several negative and nasty reviews of Gaga’s new song “Applause.”
Lastly, his latest review of her commercial (the video below), shows he might actually kinda get it… kinda. Read his write up here.)
“Stop the drama, start the music.”
