Fan power takes center stage as Kendrick Lamar leads nominations ahead of Memorial Day ceremony
The American Music Awards are putting the power back in fans’ hands with voting now open for the 2025 ceremony. With Kendrick Lamar dominating the nominations list with an impressive 10 nods, music enthusiasts have multiple ways to support their favorite artists.
Fans can cast their votes through two main methods. The simplest option is heading to VoteAMAs.com, where visitors can click to support their preferred artists for the May 26 event, which coincides with Memorial Day this year.
Social media savvy voters can also participate via Instagram by visiting the AMAs’ official profile and finding the pinned “VOTE HERE” post. Comments using the category-specific hashtags count as votes, with each artist having unique hashtags for their different nominations. Remember that each comment can include only one hashtag, and your Instagram account must be set to public for your vote to count.
The voting process allows fans to cast up to 25 votes per category daily using each voting method. Special “Turbo Days” on April 29, May 6, and May 13 double this limit, giving dedicated fans extra opportunities to boost their favorites.
Mark your calendars for closing dates: Instagram voting ends May 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT, while web voting concludes at the same time for most categories. Two exceptions, collaboration of the year and social song of the year, remain open until 30 minutes into the live broadcast, with additional Turbo Days on May 20 and May 26.
Jennifer Lopez will host this year’s star-studded event, broadcasting live from Las Vegas and streaming on Paramount+ for U.S. viewers on Memorial Day.
