We get collaborations with Jay Z,Drake, Frank Ocean, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and even Blue Ivy. It’s a side of Beyoncé we have yet to see or experience and fits perfectly. Track 1, “Pretty Hurts”, is something I think so many people battle with, especially in the spot light and I am glad Beyoncé revealed that side of herself. Below find her Instagram post about the album and what she said in a press release today (December 12) as well.

In a press release Beyoncé stated, “I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it,” she wrote. “I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans.” and “I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”

UPDATE: Below is Beyoncé’s mini-documentary explaining this album in “Self-Titled” Part 1 . The Visual Album
