360 – A Music Discovery from Down Under.

We recently have been made aware of a seriously good artist from the Down Under… His stage name is 360 and he’s Aussie through and through.

Now this guy isn’t new to the music scene by any means, but since he hasn’t broken in the states he’s new to us. We have our reasons (someone that’s pretty amazing in our eyes) for taking a first listen, but we actually fell in love with his songs, style and lyrics. His sophomore album and the one we have taken a serious liking too, Falling & Flying, was released late 2011. It has done quite well in the Australian market, but honestly that doesn’t really mean much to our ears… how it sounds, that’s what counts. We are loving the use of electronic synths while he raps along to hard bass beats, with chorus’ that have an independent freeing feeling from the rest of the track… if any of that makes sense.

At the moment, we are obsessed with the track “Child,” seems to run along the lines of Macklemore’s message on the drugs & alcohol. (we heart Rap that embraces recovery or even acknowledges it for the battle it is.) The other songs we dig are “Run Alone,” “Killer,” & “Boys Like You.”

“Killer” is a good electronic rap track that’s face paced and uses some nice effects to pull ya in and then push you along.

Listen to “Run Alone” it has great potential to be a good ass summer song.

“Boys Like You” is a track everyone can relate too, either because the lyrics are about you or someone you have gone after. Trust us… you will like the track.
